By taking part in the Automatic Staff Training
System, you will systematically be enrolled in the courses in
their proper order which will maximize your learning
experience and give you an incredible education in site level
compliance.
By completing the steps contained in this
System, you will:

Fully understand the Housing Credit Program's site
compliance responsibilities;

Graduate from the Housing Credit College and be eligible to
receive your Compliance Diploma; and
-
Be
prepared to take the Site Compliance Exam which when passed
will earn you your Site Compliance Specialist (SCS)
designation.
How the Automatic Training System Works
Once logged in, you will see the first courses
you are given access to. As you complete courses, the
Automatic Training System, will add the next course to your
profile page giving you access to it. This will continue until
all courses are completed. The training steps are as follows:

Training Step #1

If company has
purchased an Unlimited Training Subscription, you will
receive "Getting Started with Automatic Training" or if
you purchased the Course Package Plan, you will receive
"Getting Started with the Course Package Plan. Whichever
course you receive TAKE IT FIRST.
It is a quick, 10-minute course, introducing you to
the Center and will show you how to navigate the courses
and the Online Training Center. Also includes a
pre-assessment test revealing your current site compliance
knowledge level and familiarizing you with the concepts
and rules you must master to successfully operate your
properties.

101: Compliance Basics: Introductory course (approximately
3 hours) giving you a broad stroke overview of the Tax
Credit Program and its site level compliance rules.

Training Step #2

Housing Credits
103: Income & Assets: A 4 hour course focusing on the all
important income and asset rules and income eligibility
calculations that is the cornerstone of program
eligibility.

Fair Housing 101: A
Fair Housing Primer: A sound look at the federal fair
housing laws & protected classes.

Training Step #3
-
Housing Credits
204: Unique Program Rules: A comprehensive look at the
special eligibility rules of this program including
full-time students, unit eligibility rules, unit
transfers, Available Unit Rule, and the Unit Vacancy Rule.

You are given 21 days to complete each
Training Step. When a Training Step is completed, the Online
Training Center will review your information to ensure
completion of all the requirements contained in the Step which
takes approximately 4 to 6 hours. Once this review is
completed, you will be enrolled in the next step and will
receive an email from the Online Training Center telling you
to begin the next Training Step. Simple and easy!!
If a course extension is needed... NO
PROBLEM... plus, the extension will not affect the automatic
enrollments as they are only triggered when you complete the
entire Training Step!!
